Motivelectronics Ltd is seeking a Junior Electronics Engineer to join our small, experienced and dynamic team based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Motivelectronics is an expanding business specialising in the repair and refurbishment of electronics systems found in prestige cars.

 

In less than 4 years we have established a global reputation for deep expertise and for the high-quality repair of Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Porsche electronics.

 

As a Junior Electronics Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for repairing a range of vehicle electronics modules down to component level. We’ll introduce you to the repair of electronics modules including instrument clusters, climate control, infotainment, TPMS, body control, engine control and transmission control modules.

On the job training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Have a good understanding of Electronics with a view to performing repairs down to component level, ensuring our high-quality standards are met

 

  • Work independently, with support from other engineers when needed

 

  • Collaborate effectively with our engineers, sharing knowledge and ideas to enhance our collective expertise.

 

  • Apply of strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues on complex electronic circuits

Required Education & Experience:

  • GCSE grade 4 or above in English, Maths and one Science/Technology subject

 

  • College Diploma with an electronics specialism or A level in Maths, Physics or a Technology subject

  • 1 years’ proven experience in an electronics test, repair or design role

Desired Education & Experience:

  • HNC / HND in electronics / electrical engineering

  • 1+ years’ proven experience in an electronics test, repair or design role

Skills Required:

  • Experience in replacing electronic components

 

  • Fault finding down to component level

 

  • Possess a solid understanding of various electronic components and their functions.

 

  • Undertake tasks efficiently and independently

 

  • Application of strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues on complex electronic circuits

 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

 

  • PC literate.

Desirable skills:

  • Familiarity with PCB CAD tools such as Ki-Cad

 

  • Ability to develop and test embedded software (C / C++)

 

  • Experience with embedded computer platforms such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi

Employment Summary:

Employment Type: PAYE, Full-time

 

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm (37.5 hrs per week with 1 hour lunch) (flexi time negotiable)

 

Holiday: 25 days per calendar year plus bank holidays

 

Sick pay: 7 days per calendar year at full pay, then up to 28 weeks statutory sick pay.

 

Salary: £26,500.00-£34,000.00 per year (negotiable depending on your skills & experience)
